Chapter 1
"You know, this place is really boring," Lance started. The others glanced up from their respective places around the room and each sighed.
"What is so boring?" JC asked tiredly. It was Lance's turn to sigh.
"There is NOTHING to do here! How long are we stuck in this place, anyway?"
"A week," Joey piped up from his place on the floor with Justin.
"A WEEK!"
"Yes, Lance, a week. What is your problem recently?" Chris demanded. Lance shook his head.
"I have no clue. I'm just so restless," he said.
"Well you're driving the rest of us up the wall," Chris informed him. Lance stuck his tongue out childishly.
"So?" he whined, causing everyone to laugh.
"Hey! Don't sound like me!" Justin yelled across the bus. Everyone just laughed harder because it was so true.
"No, nobody is THAT bad, Just!" Lance shot back. Justin threw a pillow at his head, sending the room into another fit of giggles. It was so relaxed that Lance couldn't help but feel his tension drain away. He bonelessly dropped onto the couch next to JC- or rather, on TOP of JC.
"Lance?" JC asked with a raised eyebrow. Lance grinned at him innocently.
"Joshy makes a comfy pillow," Lance said in a baby voice, folding himself so that his head rested in JC's lap. JC just laughed and ran his fingers through Lance's short blond hair. Lance felt himself getting sleepy under JC's gentle fingers, and soon drifted off.
*****
"LANCE!" a voice yelled right in his ear. Lance jumped up, falling off the couch-and JC's lap-with a THUD.
"WHAT?" he yelled back.
"We're hungry," Justin whined.
"And your point is?"
"We need food."
"Well then order some!"
"But we don't know where to call," Justin whined again. Lance narrowed his eyes. Justin's whining was really starting to get on his nerves.
"Have you ever thought of looking in the PHONE BOOK?"
"Woah, Scoop- down boy," JC said softly, getting off the couch and putting a hand on Lance's shoulder. "You know Justin doesn't know what a phone book is."
"Hey, I resemble that remark!" Justin yelled. JC and Lance both started laughing, causing Justin to blush. "I mean- I *resent* that remark!"
"I think you were right the first time!" Lance laughed. Justin tossed a playful punch at him, which Lance avoided. It ended up hitting JC, who retaliated by hitting Lance, who smacked Justin. By the time Joey and Chris wandered in, the three of them were involved in a full-blown wrestling match on the floor. The new arrivals glanced at each other once before joining the fray. Their bodyguards found them half an hour later, sprawled on the floor, weak with laughter. The five of them agreed on delivery, so Joey made the call to a local Italian restuarant. Twenty minutes later, the guys dug in.
"Why don't we order a movie?" JC suggested once they were done eating. Nods all around, so JC headed over to the TV and grabbed the movie guide. After much deliberation, the five of them agreed to see "The Waterboy" again. The rest of the night passed in comfortable silence, each band member thinking of various things. However, one band member was thinking about another.
*I wish he were gay,* he thought to himself. *If only he were gay, I could tell him how I feel. God, please make him gay,* he pleaded to the Powers Above. No answer was forthcoming, so he sighed. *So much for that idea.*
